Michael is regularly apologizing for not looking at his students. After all, you are looking at the screen to see the others and not at the camera that is placed on top.

Time for a test.. and yes, he is correct. How difficult is it to look into the camera because then you don't see the other. The solution? A computer with the camera in the middle.

In a live situation you look people in the eye but doing the same during an online session is a bit creepy although when everybody does the same nobody will notice because looking at the camera you can't see the people at the other ends.

I myself look around during my live classes and I do so all my live. I ones visited a teacher from high school 10 years later that didn't expect me and he recognised me by the way I looked away. Not sure how why, maybe being shy as a kid or the fixation disparparation (an eye abnormality; I see double).

But is wired to realise after one and a half year doing an online masters that we didn't look each other in the eye.
