FMP reviewing list with ideas

Starting this FMP I had a proposal and a list of things to experiment with. There was a moment that I had to decide what to do and what to let go for now. A good moment to make up the bill and to make a new list for the future of things that I didn't do or can be worked out more.

List of things I did

  • Make more 3D prints: I did and are now testing with polaroid image lifts.

  • Holes from a sewing mmachine: I didn't do this but the lasercut things for the music boxes are kind of the same outcome that I had in mind.

  • Generated sound out of image and attached a musical instrument

  • Made new images

  • Lenticular prints I did but the results I didn't like

  • Printing a booklet

  • Emulsion lifts

List of things I did but want to explore more

  • 3d sculpture and then back photographing them: I did but I can explore more

  • Tape: I did it and stopped at a moment but not finished playing

  • Special vinyls (I started this but got stuck on the practical printing part. Because of Covid it is harder to get people involved and all the places that I found are closed for people "from the outside"

  • Film washi paper: I tested this and also x-ray and gompie film but not completely happy with the results. Can do more.

  • Augmented reality experiments

  • Print on fabric

List of ideas for the future

  • Negative are layers; put different layers of film for 1 exposure to create more depth

  • Cristal paintings

  • Graphics on negatives > scan or print

  • Riso print

  • Lytro

  • Photographic emulsion on home made paper: this one I forgot completely.

  • Holobox

  • Combining handmade paper

  • Glaze the vases and print them myself

Thinks I did that were not on the list

  • 3D clay vases: I am researching glaze at the moment. The maker space that I found to do so has an own 3D clay printer that I want to learn to use for future explorations.

  • The laser cut strips of sound that can be played on a music box

  • The project on the in-betweenness with morphing

  • Flipbooks
