Today we visited the Delfts blue factory. Having studied industrial design I was familiar with the design and production proces but that knowledge was 30 years old and not accurate.
I made some images for my visual memory. The clothes made by an artist (in the middle) and the modern wind inspired vase (second) in comparison with the more traditional design (first image) and the teapot at the right that is completely with but for the lid.

The first image is made because of the presentation of the image printed on a kind of coarsely meshed cloth; never saw this before and kind find it on google. The cloth was transparant and I can imagine this for my cloud images. The proud Mary selection in the middle; I wrote about this before. the vase on the left side is, I think, very ugly but also strikingly different from the rest.

The factory itself is of course super cool to see. All molds are numbered on various shelves. Various vases are left to dry or cool on shelves.

This tile panel is super old and very beautiful. It seems to take 10 years to become a true master painter. Many designs are still painted by hand, although templates are also used.

I liked these objects the most. The openwork bowl on the left and the beautiful paintings, Jugend still on the right and the simplicity of the design in the middle.

I had already found a lot of the designs in previous research. What struck me most was the formats. Many objects were much larger than I imagined and also available in various sizes.
