I was at a talk of Lynsey adler last year about hing a style and how to find them. She came to the conclusie that one only needed 3 to 5 words to subsripe it.

1. What do you talk images of

2. How do you do that

3. What do you want to be seen

When and Why can give aditional questions.

This strategy works very well if you are a commercial photographer. It gives room for Lindsay. What I admire in her work is that it is not a photoshop filter or a certain type of light use that makes her style; it is much wider than that.

For me I struggle with the answers. Discussing this with James and Chris we came to the conclussion that style is not that important to us. It is all about having a voice and what do you like to archieve that way. The image and the style you use is in service to the thing you like to tell and not the other way around.
