This week the lecture of Tom Seymour inspired me to write letters to people I wanted to connect with using his principles:
Took me 3 days to write the first letter also making an interactive presentation to go with it.
I did this one in Dutch. At the left you see the elements in there:
Target
Lede
Angle
Story
Hook
Expectations: what do I want out of this a very good tip to be open about this because that is what I typically not do.

What is missing I realise now is the source. In my case this are a bunch of links to articles I read. I will add links to it in the online presentation of the experiments.
I also made a list of other people I want to contact. I hope en suspect that it will get easier having a kind of blueprint here.
Tom told us to make it as personal as possible by writing the name of the people instead of madam/sir. Not sure if I ever could do that, maybe writing to another artist but harder with someone I never met.
