This afternoon I showed my portfolio to Brian Griffin, online. He is an older photographer who did a lot of portraits and commercial work. He is in the jury for the Format21 festival where I sent my work to. It is totally a coincident; I didn't realise this when I booked the portfolio review.
I showed him different aspects of the complete project and he thought it was fascinating, that I created another world, a new plannet. Very science fiction. It feels real enough. It is immersive and needs its own room to show the work together with the sound and all the elements.
I showed this and a bit more and he kept asking for more.
The images that he liked the most were images with some sharpness in them.
Seeing the lenticular prints he asked me if I ever saw an lenticular cloud (see images) ; which I did not. We don't have them, I think, in The Netherlands. He told me Iceland has lots of them.
In October I have booked two different portfolio review; looking forward to them.
